My name is Aline, I’m from Brazil and I arrived in Ann Arbor last August (2018). I found International Neighbors through the University of Michigan orientation for spouses. So, I went to the Open House in September and I felt very welcomed. I could check all the groups and I signed in for the groups that I got interested.
I chose a Book Group and Discovering Detroit. Both groups are really great and I’m very happy to participate. The book club meets twice a month and we can discuss about many topics while we eat delicious delicacies. Discovering Detroit meets once a month and each time we visit together an interesting site in Detroit.
Being part of International Neighbors brought me a lot of friends, enjoyment and made me feel part of the community.
