Did you know about the second-hand book sales in area libraries? Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Dexter, and Chelsea all have second-hand book sales. I know in Dexter, you can buy good second-hand books for as little as 25c for a children’s paperback and $1 for a hardback adult book. All of the funds go towards library programs and if you like to own your own books, this is an economic way of doing so. Watch out for the odd little notes in books – I found a popular adult hardback with a note saying, “Mom, Sorry that Bud ate your book. Here is a replacement. Love you!” The note was written on hotel notepaper from a Cleveland hotel. So, it’s fun imagining all the places your book has travelled before it got to you: ) Have a look at the links below to find out more about the book sales.
