Poetry Reading with Zilka Joseph

Do you like poetry and literature? Even if you are not sure you do, the poems of Zilka Joseph will resonate with your experiences of moving into a new country and perhaps will find her eloquent lines near and dear to your heart. Zilka Joseph is a poet, author, editor, and educator based in Ann Arbor with roots in India. Her poetry reflects her own history of living in Eastern and Western cultures, diverse influences, Indian mythology, Hindu festivals, Jewish customs, women issues and justice, and also nature and food. “I feel like as though I’ve lived many lives” says Zilka, “and everywhere you live becomes part of you”.
