In Case You Missed:
Thanksgiving Celebration
with Tunes
from Around the World on the Viola, Nov. 8th

The festivities have begun for International Neighbors! International Neighbors gathered for a Thanksgiving feast and for a lovely concert from the Jackson Symphony Orchestra violist Dilek Engin followed by the International Neighbors Singing Group who sang the Irish traditional folk song “Oh, Danny Boy” and a German lullaby, “Schlaf, Kindlein, Schlaf”.

The savory and dessert buffets featured Thanksgiving staples such as turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, yams, and also, many other wholesome, delicious food from around the world. The program ended with the Newcomers Coordinator, Carole’s speech in recognition of the Newcomers who have been with International Neighbors for 3 years and became Neighbors. Carole gave pretty carnations to each new Neighbor.

Special thanks to members who brought in donations for our annual food drive for Food Gatherers. We are grateful to be part of a community with people like you!
